We welcome Gabi Waldhof as a new member of our team.
From 01.08. Gabi Waldhof will complement our team.
Gabi Waldhof is interested in value conflicts and ethics in agricultural transformation processes. She pays particular attention to the influence of morality and group dynamics on attitudes toward new technologies. For example, in her dissertation she investigated the role of moral values and moral emotions in the debate on genetic engineering. Gabi Waldhof also evaluates the extent to which moral values can be relevant for shaping public opinion. For her research, Gabi Waldhof uses both quantitative and qualitative methods in surveys and text analyses.
Prior to her doctoral studies at the University of Hamburg and IAMO Halle, Gabi Waldhof worked, among others, at Oxford University in the field of experimental psychology, and in the DFG priority program "Experience and Expectation. Historical Foundations of Economic Behavior." Gabi Waldhof holds a double master's degree in "Economics" from UCL, London, and HSE, Moscow. She completed her Bachelor's degree in "Philosophy & Economics" at the University of Bayreuth and at the Paris-Sorbonne Université Abu Dhabi.
